Siena

One of the most visited tourist attractions in Italy, the historic center of Siena has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. Siena is famous for art, museums, medieval cityscape, cuisine and the Palio, a horse race held twice yearly. There's also the main cathedral, a great example of Italian Romanesque-Gothic architecture. There is much to see in this exemplary historic medieval town.
